Setting a Featured Image from a URL

Set any external image as your Featured Image without uploading it.

Steps

Open the post/page/product editor, find the “Featured Image with URL” box in the sidebar, paste the direct image URL, and save or update the post. The image will display anywhere your theme renders the_post_thumbnail().

Display sizes

The plugin respects your registered image sizes (“thumbnail”, “medium”, or any custom size), so remote images are displayed resized exactly as a normal uploaded image would be.
