Getting Started

Introduction
HK Event Import for Luma lets you import events from [lu.ma](https://lu.ma) directly into your WordPress site using the public Luma API — no API key or authentication required.

Purpose
This guide helps you install and activate the plugin on your WordPress website.

Step-by-step Instructions

Installation
1. Download the plugin ZIP file.
2. Log in to your WordPress Admin dashboard.
3. Navigate to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
4. Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
5. Choose the `hk-event-import-for-luma.zip` file and click Install Now.

Activation
1. After installation, click Activate Plugin.
2. A success notice will appear: “🎉 HK Event Import for Luma activated!”
3. You will now see a new menu item in your sidebar called Import Luma.

Tip: You do not need a Luma API key to start importing! The plugin uses the public API right out of the box.
